Some Days Are Bloodier Than Others
I love it when I find great resources that promote the cause of workplace safety. I just came across the new campaign that Work Safe Alberta is promoting.
They have developed a campaign that is getting lots of press... I love the videos because:
- they're engaging and funny in satirical kind of way
- the background music draws you in
- a real- life style of filming is used
- the website prompts you to rate the commercials
- the videos present safety facts - usually excruciatingly boring- in the form of rivetting case studies
Love 'em or hate 'em
I know that some people won't like the videos. In fact, I know that a lot of people will be offended by how gory they are (my dad is one of these people that is not sure if he can handle the gore). My coworker, Heather, gives them two thumbs up.
And I am an absolute fan... If safety is ever going to get into the consciousness of the average citizen, then there is going to have to be some controversy to spur on discussion.
So go ahead - get your "gore on" because some days are bloodier than others - and it doesn't have to be that way!
