Blue Jays home opener - let's play ball!

The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd.... at the Blue Jays Home Opener game against the Boston Red Sox in their hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The stadium there holds about 57,000 seats, so let's say it's not sold out (although that doesn't usually happen til a bit later in the season) and 47,000 bums are in the seats today.

One teenager's nightmare first job

Here's a horror story of the first job of a teenage daughter of my friend (don't worry, this story has a happy ending).

Last summer Colleen, then 15, worked at a small family-owned deli and bakery and right from the get-go she had a heck of a time getting what she was due, and zero luck getting protected or treated with respect. Just a few of her problems at this job:
