OUR TEAM:
Rob Ellis, President/Speaker, has become an outspoken advocate for health, safety and wellness in the workplace since the death of his son David in 1999. Rob has developed international partnerships with companies dedicated to becoming champion employers. His work with young people, parents and businesses has been widely publicized across Canada and the United States, and he’s regularly sought after to participate in international events as a keynote speaker. As a former business owner himself, Rob knows the challenges that companies – big or small – face in recruiting and retaining the best people. He believes that by partnering with industry leaders to promote positive change, a cultural shift will take place in our communities – a shift that will increase the importance of health safety and wellness for all workers. He can be reached at Rob@mysafework.com.
Jessica Di Sabatino, Vice-President/Speaker. When Jessica's little brother, David, was killed in a workplace accident in 1999 her world was changed forever. This tragedy led her to begin advocating for safe workplaces everywhere. With international experience as a teacher, corporate coach and motivational speaker, Jessica brings both stories of hope and practical advice that will inspire both school and corporate audiences alike. When Jessica is not playing with her husband and children she is busy resurrecting her 1980’s rap career. She can be reached at jess@mysafework.com
David Di Sabatino, Regional Director, has worn many different hats in the workplace - from construction, to hospitality, non-profit organizations to communications - giving him the good, bad and the ugly when it comes to workplace safety. Over the past five years, he's dedicated his time to the awareness of safety issues in the workplace. When relaxing, David’s priority lies with his wife and two young children with whom he loves to watch movies and eat lots of popcorn. He can be reached at Dave@mysafework.com.
Heather Angus-Lee, Editor has worked for two decades as an award-winning journalist in magazines and newspapers - the past two years dedicated to online communications. At home, she’s often referred to as a “safety freak” by her teenage and pre-teen children due to her constant vigilance; she prefers “safety champ.” She can be reached at heather@mysafework.com.
Marisa Aud, Communications Specialist, is no stranger to safety; for almost a decade, she has been advocating safe workplaces through media presentations. Her work includes, “10 things you should know”, “Learn to ask the right questions” and other public service announcements. Although Marisa’s first priority is to secure a safe home for her husband and children, she hopes that one day her message of safety will be heard by all workers young and old – and especially those working in Hollywood. She can be reached at Marisa@mysafework.com.
James Harris, Designer, has spent nearly half his life mucking around on the web. Trained as a graphic designer, he learned the ropes of website building by running a popular music fansite back in the late 1990's. He is now a web designer and semi-prolific blogger on his site, modsuperstar.ca. When he's not mucking with code, jamEs can be found playing Guitar Hero or kicking a soccer ball around with friends. He can be reached at james@mysafework.com.
Richard Vandentillaart, Video Producer, has worked closely with Rob and his team filming MySafeWork presentations and interviews with various safety champions, from corporate executives to educators and youth. When he isn't behind the lens, Richard can be found in outdoor life, such as his latest venture canoeing across Canada. He can be reached at Richard@mysafework.com.
Rick Faulkner, Writer, Rick Faulkner has more than 30 years in the industrial marketplace. His education includes Mechanical Drafting, Fluid Power Control Mechanic, and MicroComputer Applications. He has hands-on experience in Drafting, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehousing, Writing, and Shipping Receiving (and a new shipping website). With a keen eye for Search Engine Optimization, he works towards building a better web for the citizens of the Web. Cory is involved in spreading the foundation's message far and wide in an effort to raise awareness about workplace safety, especially for young/new workers. When not behind a keyboard of some sort, Cory can be found on a snowboard of some sort, enjoying the outdoors. He can be reached at cory@mysafework.com
Greg Winson, Writer, has spent more than seven years working in the wilds of the world wide web as a writer and website editor. He has written on a wide variety of topics including health and workplace safety. Greg is also a mediocre karaoke singer and a big fan of the Toronto Argonauts. He can be reached at greg@mysafework.com.
Caleb Ellis, Communications Director. As a business graduate from SouthEastern University Caleb brings a diverse skill-set to the MSW team. Moon-lighting as the music producer Caleb is responsible for writing and arranging all the music tracks for PSAs as well as the scores for every presentation.
