Elementary Schools (Grades 6 - 8)

MySafeWork / Our Youth at Work offers a one-hour interactive presentation, titled Teaching Younger Kids to Dream Big and Dream Safe to middle schools (Grades 6 - 8).

We believe that it's never too early to inspire your students to dream big and dream safe when it comes to their career aspirations. And it's never too early to teach them that they have a right to:

say 'no' to unsafe work
get appropriate job training right away

Some young people start working as early as the elementary/middle school years - such as having a paper route.

We engage these students to think about their career goals and dreams, and we talk about the things that can take students off the path to discovering their dreams, such as drugs, alcohol, workplace injuries and other risktaking behavior.

All the school presentations given by MySafeWork / Our Youth At Work are free of charge to the schools participating.

Somewhat agree - accidents will always be a part of society but we can work on reducing the most tragic accidents. Disagree - every accident is preventable.
