We are currently looking for experienced Well Servicing Floor Hand(s) to support our business in the area of Brooks, Nisku, Cold Lake & Lloydminster, AB.
Position Responsibilities:
Operating and performing maintenance on hand tools including hammers and pipe wrenches as well as maintenance to the service rig equipment
Working on the floor while the Operator runs tubing or rods in or out of the wellbore
Housekeeping duties including ensuring that the rig floor, oil company location and rig and equipment is clean and organized
Providing the physical strength to lift, carry, move, slide, transfer, push, pull or drag pieces of equipment on and around the service rig and equipment
Locating and delivering any piece of equipment as required
Drive trucks to transport materials and well service equipment
Follow instructions and assist as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
One or more years of experience
Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License and in some cases a valid Class 1 or 3 is required
Current Drivers Abstract with 6 demerits or less
Slant and/or mobile free-standing, single and/or double service rig experience is preferred
Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada

Occupational Health and Safety – Fully understands the Ensign Health and Safety policy and self-responsibility for his/her own health and safety at work. - Responsible to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others through any act or omission. Responsible for the correct use protective clothing and equipment as provided by Ensign and for guarding against misuse or damage to such equipment.
- Responsible for reporting any hazardous situations arising in the workplace that cannot be self-corrected, or injury incurred during the course of work, no matter how minor.
- Responsible for avoiding injury resulting from manual handling tasks associated with his/her employment, by use of risk assessment, correct mechanical handling equipment and correct manual handling techniques.
