Additional details:
Was asked to change RTD around an Electrical Arc Furnace, although there were many spots around the furnace with large holes that you could fall into about 15 ft deep into where molten metal was poured just minutes before. I told them I didn’t feel comfortable doing the job but because everyone else was ok with I felt obligated I needed it to help. I then talked to my coworkers about reporting this as an unsafe job to management but received flak because If I was to report a job my coworkers had been doing for awhile they could get in trouble. I ended up not sending this to management and had to continue to do the job at least 2 times a week or so and tried to just do it as slow and as safe as possible.
